Myra’s Kids Foundation

What began as a lifelong dream has become one of the greatest privileges of my professional life. Since its inception in 2017, I have had the honour of serving as the Clinical Director of Myra’s Kids Foundation (formerly Camp Erin® Montreal).

Over the past decade, Myra’s Kids Foundation has grown tremendously, expanding from a single camp program into a comprehensive bereavement support organization serving children, teens, and families throughout the year. Today, we offer a four-day summer retreat, a Family Camp, a Teen Winter Camp, and a variety of year-round programs and support services for bereaved children and teens, ages 4–17, who are coping with the death of someone significant in their lives.

Our camps combine the excitement and energy of traditional camp experiences with opportunities for grief education, peer connection, memory-making activities, and emotional support. Children and teens quickly discover that they are not alone in their grief. These specialized programs are made possible through the dedication of highly trained professionals and compassionate volunteers who create safe and supportive spaces for healing.

Beyond our camp programs, Myra’s Kids Foundation provides ongoing support for bereaved families throughout the year, ensuring that no child or family has to navigate grief alone. Our mission is to provide comfort, hope, and healing to young people and families whose lives have been forever changed by loss.

The death of someone we love can be one of life’s most difficult experiences. If our programs can help a child, teen, or family feel supported, understood, and connected, we are honoured to walk alongside them on their grief journey.
