Myra’s Kids Foundation
What was always a life long dream of mine has now become a reality. Since it’s inception in 2017, I have had the pleasure and privilege of serving as the Clinical Director of Myra’s Kids Foundation weekend retreat program (formerly Camp Erin® Montreal).
This program is involves a free weekend bereavement camp for children and teens, ages 6 – 17, who are experiencing grief from a death of someone close to them. It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp offering opportunities of grief education, peer bonding and emotional support. This specialized camp is guided by highly trained professionals and compassionate volunteers. Myra’s Kids Foundation also offers monthly support services for bereaved families at no cost.
This year Camp will be held on Friday, August 4th through Sunday August 6th, 2023. Myra’s Kids Foundation is honoured to host programs for the Montreal community. It is our heartfelt wish to reach out and provide comfort, hope and healing to youth and families affected by grief. Grieving the death a significant person in one’s life can be such an emotionally challenging experience; if our program is able help a child or teen benefit from our free weekend long summer grief camp, we are here to join them on their healing journey.
